About the Candlelight Light The Candlelight Inn was built in the 1870’s by Shade Tipton as a private residence.  This majestic Second French Empire mansion has Mansard rooflines and a tower that emerges above the third story adorned with restored ironwork.  Detailed gingerbread moldings decorate the exterior of the structure. 

Throughout the home, the majesty of the era lives on with high ceilings, original light fixtures and expanses of natural light streaming throughout the house. The front hall proudly displays a walnut staircase that extends over 14 feet to the second floor. Inlaid parquet borders of cherry, maple and walnut decorate the oak floor on the first level. 

Refurbished with luxury in mind, the antiques, finishes and furnishings preserve the dignity and character of this masterpiece.

The Inn is nestled in the valley along the Allegheny River and Allegheny National Forest. It is the perfect place to enjoy nature in a canoe or on a hike. Relax, slow down and discover small town America.

SPECIAL TOUCHES & AMENITIES Morning at the Inn begins with a complimentary continental breakfast of fresh brewed coffee, tea, juice, fruit, toast, bagels, cereal and oatmeal. 

On Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday a full breakfast is provided with a main dish. Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

To ensure an enjoyable stay for all, please note the following information: •Check in is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Upon request, we are happy to make special arrangements to accommodate your travel schedule. We reside at the Candlelight Inn and are available to assist you throughout the day.  •Check out is at 11:00 a.m. •Only two guests are permitted per room. Each additional guest will be $15.00 •In consideration of our guests, quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. •Please note food allergies or concerns at the time of registration.
